ARTIST STATEMENT

My art is a reflection of my mood at the moment I sit down to create. Painting is my way to "escape" and to quiet my overactive mind. No paint brushes are used to create my art, the challenge of finding a tool other than a paintbrush to accomplish what I could more easily use a paintbrush for, is part of my process. 

Instead, I use my fingers, felt, cotton swabs, dental micro brush, makeup applicators, credit cards,  compressed air, among other tools.  I will also use micro-pens to embellish, enhance or bring definition to a piece. 

 By using tools other than a paint brush, I hope you not only smile at the composition, but are also in wonderment of the technical aspect of the piece.
